A global assessment of policy tools to support climate adaptation

Governments, businesses, and civil society organizations have diverse policy tools to incentivize adaptation. Policy can shape the type extent of adaptation, therefore, function either as barriers or enablers for reducing risk vulnerability. Using data from a systematic review academic literature on global adaptation responses climate change (n = 1549 peer-reviewed articles), we categorize types used We apply qualitative quantitative analyses assess contexts where particular are used, along with equity implications groups targeted by tools, tools’ relationships transformational indicators such depth, scope, speed find documented across sectors geographic regions. also identify mismatch between that consider those yield more adaptations.
